At Retreat at Home we take your and our health very seriously, therefore we have put in place a number of measures to ensure that to minimise the risk of Covid-19 transmission as much as possible, new appointment protocol, full personal protective equipment and enhanced hygiene standards have been put in place.
Before the Service
In order for the appointment to go ahead, you will need to confirm that you are free of COVID-19 symptoms and that you haven’t been in contact with anyone with symptoms in the last 7 days.
All clients to adhere to all government guidelines on hygiene, including washing hands thoroughly with soap and water before the appointment and disinfecting all regularly touched surfaces.
The service area you have prepared should ideally be close to the entrance, or well ventilated by open doors or windows. To enable minimal contact when entering your home, please make sure all doors are open for me on arrival and departure.
As much as we love seeing other members of the family, It is now necessary to ensure other members of your household are not in the same room during your service. If more than one member of the family is having a treatment it is important that they stay out of the room and adhere to social distancing until they are required.
For the foreseeable future to prevent cross infection, we will be asking you to provide your own towels and blankets for your appointments .
It has been advised if anyone who is unable to to get on and off the massage table unaided, or anyone at higher risk of becoming seriously ill with COVID-19 to refrain from making an appointment at this present time. Any questions do please get in touch.
What to expect
We shall arrive wearing a face visor and apron.
If required please have a designated area to place personal belongings ie coat, bag etc near to your door .
Where possible we will be using disposable tools. Anything else will have been sanitised before arrival and kept in a sealed container. Afterwards tools will be placed in another sealed container and will be either disinfected with Barbicide ( an EPA registered grade disinfectant ) or sanitised in a LED sanitiser.
We shall be carrying a lighter load and only be carrying the necessary equipment that is needed for your appointment. Where possible this will be in plastic crates which will be disinfected from one appointment to the next.
For Manicures / Pedicures / Shellac Treatments - colour pops will not be used at this time. A colour chart will be sent prior to your appointment via email for you to choose your colour from, and if you are unsure of a shade, up to 3 colours can be bought along for you to choose from.
Upon arrival the therapist shall wash her hands for 20 seconds and then sanitise before putting on gloves. Hands will be washed on departure also.
All disposables will be placed into a bag and at the end of the treatment will be disposed of in a sealed bin.
What we ask from you During this time of heightened health and safety, Retreat at Home kindly ask that you to prepare for your appointment in the following ways:
Please wear a face mask during your service.
Prior to arrival - Please make sure there is a clean, clear surface space to work on/near , make sure to remove all unnecessary items from this area. The surface should be cleaned with an antibacterial/disinfectant cleaning solution before arrival and after departure.
You will be required to wash your hands before the treatment and afterwards therefore choose an area that has easy access to hand-washing facilities.
Ensure other members of your household are not in the same room during your service.
Due to the essential requirements of HSE, if these 'Risk Assessment ' measures are not complied with this will result in your treatment not going ahead.
You will need to cancel your appointment if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any symptoms, no matter how mild. You will not be charged a cancellation fee in this period if you need to cancel your appointment for this reason.
Payments and Appointments The preferred method of payment will be by BACs, if you do not hold Retreat at Homes bank details then please let us know and we will forward these across to you. Alternatively cash will be accepted if it is placed in an envelope. Please make sure the correct amount is enclosed as we will not be carrying any cash to give out change.
Full payment of treatments will be made once an appointment has been booked and confirmed. This will need to be done within 48 hours of your confirmed appointment to minimise waiting time at your home. Please confirm by messaging once you have paid. Should you wish to pay by cash the correct amount must be handed to the therapist before the treatment commences.
All appointments and follow on bookings will need to be placed by messaging via email or text. This again is to minimise time spent at your home.
